Rulebook
📋 League Format
  • 10 teams compete in a single group — round robin format
  • Each team plays 8 matches against different opponents across 5 league days
  • League stage: 40 matches across 5 days; tournament total: 44 matches including playoffs
  • Top 4 teams from the overall standings advance to the knockout stage
  • Knockouts: Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Grand Final
  • All matches played with a tennis ball — 8 overs per side
  • Matches every Saturday & Sunday from July 18 to August 2, 2026
  • Each team must register 15–20 players. No player can represent more than one team

⚖ Tiebreaker: Net Run Rate (NRR) via CricHeroes scoring system
🏏 Batting Rules
  • Playing XI must be submitted before the toss
  • First 2 overs = Power Play (fielding restrictions apply)
  • Next batter must walk in immediately after a wicket — no delay
  • Intentional time-wasting results in 5 penalty runs or disciplinary action
  • All standard dismissals apply unless organizers change a specific rule
  • Substitute fielder needs umpire permission. Cannot bat, bowl, or keep wickets
⚠ Extras & Free Hit
  • Wide: 1 extra run. Ball must be re-bowled
  • No Ball: 1 extra run. Ball must be re-bowled
  • Free Hit: Every no ball is followed by a compulsory free hit
  • On a free hit, batter can only be dismissed via run out or obstructing the field
  • Umpire’s decision on all extras is final
🏏 Bowling Rules
  • Each bowler may bowl a maximum of 2 overs per innings
  • No more than 2 bowlers may bowl their full 2-over quota in a single innings
  • All remaining bowlers are restricted to 1 over each
  • A minimum of 6 bowlers must be used in every innings
  • Captain responsible for ensuring no bowler exceeds allowed overs
  • All bowling changes communicated to umpire before next ball
  • New ball used at start of each innings. No change requests after ball is finalised
  • Only proper arm bowling allowed. Throwing or chucking strictly prohibited
  • Illegal bowling action = removed from match. Must pass action test to bowl in future games
🤚 Fielding & General Rules
  • Mobile phones strictly prohibited on the field during a match
  • All players must report to the ground at least 1 hour before scheduled match time
  • Only a medical emergency or injury accepted as reason for being late
  • Captain and team owner both responsible for behaviour and punctuality
  • Umpire’s decision on all on-field matters is final at all times
🕐 Match Timings
  • Teams must report 60 minutes before scheduled match time
  • Late arrival may result in loss of toss advantage, over reduction, or walkover
⏰ Daily slots: 10:00 AM · 12:00 PM · 2:00 PM · 4:00 PM (approx. 90 min each)
⚡ Impact Player Rule
  • Before the toss, each team must nominate 1 to 3 Impact Players from their squad
  • Only 1 Impact Player can be used per team per match
  • Impact Player may be introduced when a wicket falls or at start of a new over
  • The replaced player cannot return for the rest of the match
  • Impact Player eligible to bat and bowl in full capacity within normal bowling limits
  • Captain must inform the on-field umpire before bringing in the Impact Player
  • If not used, the option is lost — no new nominations after the toss
🏹 League Stage — Bowl-Out
  • In a league stage tie, a bowl-out is conducted
  • Each team nominates 6 bowlers to bowl 1 ball each at an unguarded wicket
  • The team that takes the most wickets wins
  • If still level, 1 point awarded to each team
🔥 Knockout & Final — Super Over
  • All knockout matches and the Final: Super Over (1 over, 6 balls)
  • A winner must be decided — no shared points in knockouts
  • If Super Over tied: (1) More boundaries wins · (2) Superior league ranking · (3) Organizer’s decision
🌧 Weather & Rain Rules
  • Minimum of 4 overs per side must be completed for an official result
  • If minimum overs not met, match declared a No Result
  • Organizers may reduce overs, reschedule, or award equal points as appropriate
  • Organizers’ decision is final in all weather-related matters

👑 Captain’s Responsibilities

👕 Players & Support Staff
  • All players must wear only the official KSL jersey during all matches and events
  • Only official KSL track pants shall be worn — personal lower wear not permitted
  • Players may wear any appropriate sports shoes of their choice
  • Non-official jerseys or casual clothes on the field not allowed
  • Support staff near or on the field must also follow the official dress code
🏳 Team Owners & Managers
  • Each team owner and manager will be issued an official KSL identity card
  • Identity card must be carried at all times — matches, events, and meetings
  • Access to restricted areas only allowed with a valid identity card
  • Lost or damaged cards must be reported to organizers immediately
  • Identity cards are personal and cannot be transferred
